How to brew a lovely "Cupp'a Tea".
Although each and every cup should be looked at as a work of art, it does
not take an artist to create a great tasting tea. If you can heat water, you’
re half way there!
The subtle flavours of Herb Teas are often distorted by chlorinated (tap) water, metal pots (especially aluminum), milk, honey, and reheated water. Use freshly boiled spring or bottled water and a tea pot, glass, crockery, or enamel container which is absolutely clean and has been pre-rinsed in hot water.
If you drink a lot of tea, a stainless steel strainer or teaball, available in coffee and tea stores, is a worthwhile investment. The alligator type teaball which opens and closes at a touch is easier to use than the screw-top type.
General Instructions for most Teas:>
Boil the water, while it is heating rinse the teapot with hot water, and measure in 1-2 teaspoons of herbs for each measuring cup of water you will be using.
Pour the hot water over the herbs, and let them stand 5-15 minutes, until the tea is brewed to your taste. Research shows tea to be high in antioxidants and therefore a good cancer preventative. Tea also reduces cholesterol and aids in weight loss.

We are also now able to provide Glycerites (Tincture) in the Non-Alcohol state -made with Vegetable Glycerin. A Natural, almost nectar like sweetness, Vegetable glycerin is derived from palm (coconut) oil. It is colourless, odourless, does not make blood sugar rise, and is about half again sweeter than sugar.
Most suitable for children and pets; for those who dislike the taste of alcohol and those who like it too much.
This is also especially helpful for those with alcohol sensitivities .
Tinctures and Common Wisdom:
Herbal Tinctures are easy to use, travel with you anywhere, are both safe and effective and gentle enough for children in smaller doses. A typical dose for an adult is 10-30 drops in a little bit of water, tea or juice. Children generally get half of that. Dosages differ depending on what herb you are taking.
Liquid extracts/tinctures work faster and more completely than other forms of supplementation - and are easier to use (by simply placing a drop or two under the tongue or adding to water or juice).
Taste wise - It would be unfair and untrue to say that they all taste "wonderful"...when in fact many Herbal extracts contain a percentage of 'Tannin'. This can and does make many Tinctures have a bitter aftertaste - hence many will use the drops in a sweet juice or Herbal Tea, for consumption comfort.

Store herbs in a dark glass jar away from heat and light.
