Alfalfa---

Food Supplement, and 'great healer' - blood cleanser and reduces cholesterol and fatty placque. Cooling, sweet, and astringent herb that cleanses toxins from tissues, is diuretic, controls bleeding, and lowers cholesterol levels. Influences hormones and the circulatory and urinary systems.
Contraindicated in autoimmune diseases or when using blood thinning/anticoagulant medication such as Warfarin.


Angelica---
Is a bittersweet, aromatic, and anti-inflammatory herb that increases perspiration, lowers fever, and has anti spasmodic and expectorant properties. Anise Seed---
Licorice flavour - sweet, warming and stimulating herb with estrogenic and expectorant effects, traditionally regarded to have aphrodisiac properties. Nerve soothing, sleep inducing, digestive, breath sweetener.



Arrowroot---
use it's root as a poultice and as an antiseptic tea for urinary infections. Arrowroot is used in herbal medicine in much the same manner as Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra), as a soothing demulcent and a nutrient of benefit in convalescence and for easing digestion. It helps to relieve acidity, indigestion and colic, and is a mild laxative. It may be applied as an ointment or poultice mixed with other antiseptic herbs such as Comfrey..



Barberry Root---
A bitter, stimulating, and sedative and detoxifying herb, that is effective against disease-causing organisms, is a liver stimulant and digestive tonic.
If taken in excess, Barberry may cause nausea, vomiting, convulsions, low blood pressure, abnormally low heartbeat and breathing.

Black Cohosh Root c/s---
Is a toning bitter herb, which soothes aches, pains, coughing, lowers fevers and stimulates the uterus.
NOTE: Black Cohosh should NOT be confused with Blue Cohosh, as Blue Cohosh is contra - indicated for use by women who are trying to conceive or who are pregnant.
Excessive intake may cause nausea and vomiting, and a 1986 FDA report warns that Black Cohosh causes potentially hazardous side effects, including dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, tremors, depressed heart rate and miscarriage. More than 5 g of the herb can be Toxic.

Is an Antifungal. Use for athletes foot and other fungal infections, parasites, abscesses, and boils.

Burdock Root c/s----
Antiseptic; Blood purifier and tonic, also recommended for kidney problems. Soothes the hypothalamus and stimulates the pituitary gland to release it's hormones. It also helps to metabolize carbohydrates; and is useful for any systemic rash conditions, such as psoriasis; for bites, stings, animal bites and boils. For forms of rashes, use internally and externally. Internally, Burdock is also useful for arthritic conditions, rheumatism, and many types of infections.


Calendula---
Is a bittersweet, salty herb, that stimulates the liver, gall bladder, and uterus. It soothes the digestive system, clears infections, and is said to support the heart.


Camphor---
.. crystals have strong antiseptic, stimulant, and antispasmodic properties and are applied EXTERNALLY as unguents or balms. Camphor acts as a counter-irritant and analgesic liniment to relieve arthritic and rheumatic pains, neuralgia and back pain. It may also be applied to skin problems, such as cold sores and chilblains, and used as a chest rub for bronchitis and other chest infections.


Caraway seeds ---
Refreshing stimulant, strongly aromatic herb, that calms spasms of the gastric tract and uterus, and is used as an expectorant for respiratory complaints.. Aids in Digestive complaints.


Cardamom ---
Is an excellent remedy for many digestive problems, helping to soothe indigestion, dyspepsia, gastralgia, colon spasms and flatulence. It has an aromatic and pungent taste and combines well with coffee and cocoa. It is used to disguise the less pleasant taste of other herbs..


Cassia Buds---
Has antibacterial properties and is used in the alleviation of urinary incontinence. It also energizes and tones, thereby enhancing circulation


Catnip---
Minty - almost a camphor-like scent and is bitter, astringent and cooling, relaxing spasms, increasing perspiration and is carminative and sedative.. High in vitamin C; and used to control Diarrhea. The tea also relieves bloating and fights stomach nausea from colds and flu.
However, Catnip increases menstrual flow and should NOT be taken by pregnant women.

Fruity aroma, and is one of the most widely used herbs. It is a carminative, remedial tonic, which also has anti-inflammatory properties, and is used to encourage digestion and boost the immune system.. Relaxing, relieves Menstrual Cramps; soothes feeling of nausea.
Should not to be used when using anti-coagulant drugs.
Allergic reactions have been reported in people who are also allergic to Ragweed or any plants in the Daisy family.


Cherokee Rosehip---
Fruits are astringent, acidic and contain flavonoids, tannins, carotenoids and volatile oil that stops discharge, Rosa laevigata enhances the ability for urination control. It also helps stabilize the kidneys. Male sexual inadequacies (e.g. nocturnal emission, spermatorrhea, neurasthenia), female problems (e.g. leukorrhea, uterine bleeding), night sweating, excessive urination, bed wetting, chronic diarrhea, enteritis, chronic cough, high blood pressure.


Chickweed---
Is a cooling and soothing herb that relieves itching, promotes healing and has anti-rheumatic properties. Used as a Blood Purifier,to treat inflammations, blisters, boils, and abscesses, and is rich in Potassium. Dissolves fat, helps stop food cravings; and fresh plant is edible in salads or as a cooked green.
Excess consumption of this herb can cause vomiting and diarrhea.


Chicory, Roasted---
As a tea or extract, chicory root is a bitter digestive tonic that also increases bile flow and decrease inflammation. The root is therapeutically similar to dandelion root, supporting the action of the stomach and liver and cleansing the urinary tract. Chicory is also taken for rheumatic conditions and gout, and as a mild laxative, one particularly appropriate for children..
Ground roasted chicory makes a good tonic and coffee substitute.


Cinnamon Powder---

It lowers fever.
To be avoided by people suffering from hypertension (high blood pressure), and epilepsy.


Jasmine---
Is an astringent, anti bacterial, anti viral, cooling and bitter herb. It stimulates the uterus, calms nerves and is reportedly an aphrodisiac for women.
It may also dull the mind when trying to concentrate.


Juniper Berries---
A bitter, aromatic herb, that has antiseptic and diuretic properties, improving digestion, stimulating the uterus and reducing inflammation. Is used mainly for cleansing the Kidneys.
Juniper is an irritant, and best used with other, more soothing herbs, and should not be used when suffering from a kidney disease or infection.


Kudzu ---
