Coconut:
This is liquid at room temperature, and differs from Regular Coconut Oil in that it is produced by heat rather then cold pressing. Many consider it to be very comparable to the characteristics of human skin.

Easily Absorbed, but is also quick to go rancid; expect a shelf life of 3 to 6 months with proper storage conditions.
Holly Massage Oil:
Long been a popular massage oil, as it is extremely light to the point where sheets will not be stained. It also has a pleasant cooling effect - will leave almost no residue, but is capable of actually blocking pores due to the mineral oil it contains; and has an indefinite shelf life.
Pecan:
Pecan is a well rounded carrier oil, and is often chosen as a more unique alternative to the more popular oils - grapeseed, and almond sweet.
Like the Perilla Seed in massage therapy, small amounts are blended with other oils, as it will leave an oily film on the skin.
Pecan oil is quick to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 to 8 months with proper storage conditions.
Perilla Seed:
This is an oil rich in vitamins and amino acids and 50-60% of the oil is Alpha-Linoleic Acid (ALA) which is an Omega-3 fatty acid. The high ALA content helps the skin and hair retain moisture; the Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids which are found in vegetable and oily fish oils, and are classified as Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's).
Can aid in the healing treatment of skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis.
The oil is highly unsaturated, with an iodine number of 185 to 208, and includes linolenic, linoleic, and oleic acids. Known to have antiseptic properties which makes this a good oil for facial products, such as a facial massage or for the after effect of a Clay Mask, as it retains moisture in skin.
Shelf life is 1 to 2years, but does have a "nutty" odour - so is blended with Sweet Almond Oil, to reduce the 'nutty' smell when mixing any massage Essential Oils in..
Pistachio:
Pistachio Oil has very good moisturizing qualities for a "light oil", as it blends easily with other carrier oils.
Used alone, it is a favourite for massages, and is slow to become rancid; users can expect 6 months to 1 year with proper storage.
Rosehip Refined:
Is extremely high in essential fatty acids, and is known to help treat dry, irritated, weathered skin. It is also suitable for treating burns, scars and stretch marks - but will aggravate acne conditions.
This is a great Carrier Oil to mix with Lavendar Oil for burns as it regenerates skin as well as prevents scarring.
Is considered a "drying oil" which means that it is quickly absorbed by the skin, and does not leave an oily feel,is slow to go rancid - users can expect a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year with proper storage conditions.
Safflower:
Is the first choice for those requiring a Moisturizing Oil, and is also very popular in massage blends, as it is easily absorbed, and can be washed from sheets without heavy staining.

This is a great Oil to mix in with powdered Henna as the blend applied to hair
- for it nourishes the hair, reducing the henna dryness. Also helps enhance the 'sheen effect'.....and bonds the colour better.
Neem:
Neem is very viscous to begin with, and it gets solid in the cold.
Simply heat it in a hot water bath in order to thin it out - the water shouldn’t be boiling hot, but just very warm. It will take a few minutes to return to a liquid solution..
Neem seed oil is non-toxic to mammals and is a very effective antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, dermatological and dental agent - BUT - it has a above average smell...a strong pungent, earthy, green musty smell that can be off putting..
The bonus to the smell, is it has been used for centuries in traditional Indian medicine to aid in the healing of topical skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, burns and acne!
It is rich in fatty acids and glycerides and together with it's above healing properties, and is extremely powerful as a healing agent great for the skin.
Best in formulations with Coconut, Palm Butter Shea Butter etc...although not
suitable for any main massage...due to the strong smell.
Roasted Sesame:
....this is a bit like the Neem - crinkles the nose!!
General Sesame Oil is rich in vitamins E and B, and in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, and the clear version is a popular massage and aromatherapy carrier oil - but does leave an oily residue.
The Roasted version has a very distinct, aroma which has the potential of overpowering other scents.
The oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 months to 1 year with proper storage conditions - and as a warning should be avoided by individuals with nut allergies.
